The Greek chapters at Mizzou are governed by one of four councils: Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Multicultural Council. Although each of the organizations may be unique, the main missions are the same and include scholarship, leadership brotherhood/sisterhood and service.
Interfraternity Council (IFC)
The Interfraternity Council aids its member fraternities and colonies in the areas of recruitment, risk management, and academic achievement, service, public relations, budgeting, and educational programming.
Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)
The Multicultural Greek Council on the University of Missouri's campus was created as a vehicle to improve and create dialogue and cooperation between parallel-goaled organizations. For more information regarding membership please contact the respective organizations.
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
The National Pan-Hellenic Council is comprised of the historically African-American fraternities and sororities on Mizzou's campus. At MU, NPHC's primary focus throughout the years has been community service and civic endeavors. The official process to become a member of a NPHC organization is referred to as a membership intake. For more information please contact the respective organizations.
Panhellenic Association (PHA)
When you join one of the Panhellenic Association (PHA) sororities, you not only become a member of that particular chapter, you also become a member of the Panhellenic community. The Panhellenic Association governs National Panhellenic chapters and affiliate chapter membership on campus.
